High School, Fairfax, Minnesota, 1950s Postcard Reproduction
Nice view of the public high school in Fairfax, Minnesota, from the 1950s. This portion of the school was built in the 1930s and was added onto several times over the years. When the school districts from Gibbon, Fairfax and Winthrop consolidated, this building became Gibbon Fairfax Winthrop Middle School School. Classes ended in this building in the late 2010s and this building was sold to a private company in 2020, although the gym remains in use by the GFW school district.
Fairfax is a city in Renville County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,235 at the 2010 census. Minnesota State Highways 4 and 19 are two of the main arterial routes in the city. Fort Ridgely State Park is nearby.
A bit of history, fantastic for dropping friends or family a note the old-fashioned way, and makes a great gift! This is a reproduction of the original 1950s postcard.
