Minnesota Phenology: Seasonal Northland Nature

Phenology is the study happenings in the natural world: when birds migrate, when flowers bloom, the weather conditions. Larry Weber makes an intimate study of the natural world from his home in Barnum, Minnesota.

Larry Weber has taught science for nearly thirty years. In a phenology-based course, he shares his knowledge of the natural world, often taking his students on ''Web Walks.'' In 1993, he was named Minnesota Science Teacher of the year. Larry lives with his wife, Fran, on a farm in northeastern Minnesota, where he pursues critters with a camera and close-up lens.
